The Schrade Old Timer Capybara is definitely distinctive. At nearly eight-and-a-half inches long, the Capybara stands out from other knives because of its rosewood and ebony handle slabs that are separated by a swatch of brass running through the center of the handle (see image below).

This is a full tang 8Cr13MoV high carbon stainless steel drop point blade (4″) with excellent grind and swedging. The brass handle swath is complimented by a brass bolster and finger guard, as well as brass pins and “Old Timer” shield.  This is .37 pounds, this knife feels like the real deal in your hand and fits snugly in the accompanying leather sheath (see image below).
