Thanks to EKA Knives, we recently had the opportunity to handle and test a few of their Butcher Pro Series knives. To be exact, we chopped and sliced with the Butcher Pro Series 20cm Chefs Knife, the 18cm Kitchen Knife, and the 14CM Sticking Knife, and man, were these knives impressive.

Out of the box, these knives were razor sharp. They zipped through a Granny Smith and corrugated cardboard like they were nothing (see the video above). If this Swedish steel holds its edge like we think it will, then these knives will stay sharp for quite some time.

The handles were seriously easy to grip and felt extraordinarily comfortable in the hand. It felt completely natural to drop a thumb or a forefinger on top of the blade while cutting.

We love that these are made for indoor/outdoor use, and we think they’d look great in the field or on the counter. We recommend you try at least one or two of these out. They’re well worth the price. They are available at EKA Knives and they come in the following patterns.

  • 1 Gut Hook Knife
  • 8 Butcher Knives
  • 3 Skinning Knives
  • 2 Chef Knives
  • 2 Kitchen Knives
  • 1 Ham/Salmon Knife
