According to internet sources, after issuing a Cease and Desist order in June to Microtech in defense of its sub-framelock patent, KAI U.S.A. Ltd has issued a new Cease and Desist order to Brous Blades. The order, which appears to pertain to the Brous Blades XL Silent Soldier Flipper, calls on Brous Blades to immediately discontinue manufacturing and sales of any infringing products, pay a 10% royalty on past sales of the infringing product, and destroy any remaining inventory which infringes on the KAI patent.

It looks like KAI is serious about defending its US Patent for the sub-framelock mechanism. KAI produces Zero Tolerance, Kershaw, and Shun brand products.
