There’s an age-old camping problem: camp cooking is messy and isn’t easy. Gerber has made a solid effort to solve these issues with the great features, organization, and the ease of cleaning found in the new Gerber Outdoor Freescape Camp Kitchen Set.

The Gerber Outdoor Kitchen Set comes with two knives: a Santoku knife and a pairing knife. The Santoku features a 4 1/8th” blade and the paring knife a 3” blade. Both knives are full tang and crafted of quality 7cr17mov steel. The Santoku is even outfitted with a comfortable finger choil.

Both knives in the Gerber Outdoor Kitchen Set come with full rubber grips, and that’s great considering how messy outdoor cooking can be. The jigged grips are handy and provide a secure hold, and both knives have lanyard holes to keep them secured to your wrist.

The set is encased in a dishwasher safe polypropylene case with a cutting board top. The cutting surface is 10 ½ x 8 ½” and provides a good amount of room to prep and cut food. The drawer that holds the knives has an easy to use lock, so it stays secure. There are two knife compartments inside the case, as well as a compartment that fits Gerber’s anti-bacterial wipes (sold separately).

The set includes a pull-through ceramic sharpener that keeps your blades sharp and efficient on the go.
