It’s not unusual for Victorinox to have colorful scales on their knives, but The National Park Foundation Collection takes it a step further. The National Park Service turned 100 just last year and Victorinox chose to show their support by donating $25,000 to the National Park Foundation. Victorinox went on to release a full line of scenic knives showing all our great national parks for nature enthusiasts around the world to collect and cherish.

The Camper series is one of Victorinox’s bestselling outdoor knives. They include popular outdoor features such as a wood saw, can opener, and tweezers for those pesky splinters that naturally come from collecting firewood. These knives have images on the handle from national parks in every corner of the united states including Mt. Rushmore, Mt. Rainier, The Grand Canyon, Acadia, The Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone, Glacier, and (my personal favorite) The Great Smoky Mountains. These pieces are perfect for any display or just showing your support for one of the greatest government programs ever devised.

If the fancy panoramic views on the Camper aren’t your style, Victorinox also released the Tinker series with the National Park Foundation’s logo on the handle. The Tinker is a little less outdoorsy (it ditches the wood saw), but the pattern is perfect for an EDC knife. The green handles look classy and everyone will know you’re a proud supporter of nature.

The Victorinox National Park Foundation Collection really hits home for me. I write for Knife Newsroom in Knoxville, Tennessee, just outside of Gatlinburg. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, my heart was broken by the intense fires that ran through the national park. The National Park Foundation and the city of Gatlinburg joined forces to raise a lot of money for not only the families affected by the fire, but for the trails and wildlife too. this support from the National Park Foundation helped the area quickly bounce back to its normal tourist paradise. Owning one of these knives is a fantastic way to show support for this organization, and receive a unique and beautiful knife in the process. You can get a scenic Camper for $25.99 or a classy Tinker for $21.99 at Smoky Mountain Knife Works (smkw.com). Simply click the link below to find them.
