The SOG Revolver 2.0 is really three hunting knives in one, with no need to remove or install blades like on some of the other all-in-one knives. It features a fixed blade knife, bone saw, and gut hook that are never removed from the knife. Simply press the button on the handle and rotate the blade.

One end of the blade is a flat-ground skinning knife, and the other is a bone saw with a gut hook. SOG made the blade out of the durable 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. This steel is tough enough to hold up if through the process of gutting animals and sawing through the thick bones found in larger game.

While the blades of the Revolver 2.0 are impressive, they almost seem to pale when compared to the practicality of the handle. The Revolver uses fiberglass reinforced nylon to lower the weight of the knife and make it durable in the tough conditions that can be found in the remote wilderness. The hard handles have a soft grip over-mold that provides improved grip and resilience. On the side of the handle you can find a pull tab that will remove a diamond file. This allows you to keep your gut hook and skinner razor sharp when you’re miles away from your equipment, and it effectively reduces the amount of gear you need to take with you in the field (less gear = less weight).

The Revolver 2.0 comes in a leather sheath that is treated to hold up to the elements, while still giving you an interesting contrast of classic and contemporary on your belt.
