These two knives are perfect for a gift on a budget, or if you’re just one of those guys who always misplaces your work knife. You can’t beat two Kershaw knives for under $20.
These Kershaw knives are pretty basic when it comes to design. They use a linerlock system to secure the blade open, and a flipper system with assisted opening to make the opening quick. Kershaw offers one of the models with a partially serrated blade and one as a plain straight edge. They used black oxide coated 2Cr13 stainless steel blades, so they can hold a decent edge. It’s a tougher steel that’s often found in machetes, so it wont be the easiest to sharpen (but it will stay sharp longer).
These knives feature glass filled nylon handles. The handles are fairly ergonomic and are molded with comfortable finger guards. The material does great in adverse elements, so if your hand gets wet the knife wont slip.
