Benchmade has added yet another beautiful knife to their prestigious gold class. This model is the Hidden Canyon Hunter Gold Class, but with a few definitive upgrades to the spec sheet. Hans Albung, the product line manager for Benchmade says, “The Hidden Canyon has been taken to a new level, combining natural and performance materials to create the perfect blend of usability, style, and elegance that our gold class knives are known for.”

Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter Gold Class

The standard Hidden Canyon Hunter is outfitted with a CPM-S30V drop point blade. That’s pretty good, but not Gold Class worthy. This new model is outfitted with CPM-M4 super steel with a Scotch-brite hand finish. It is still a drop point, fixed blade, but Benchmade has vastly increased the edge retention and strength of the blade.

The standard handles on a Hidden Canyon Hunter are either wood or G-10. Wood is certainly beautiful, but the Gold Class Hidden Canyon Hunter takes it to the next level. It’s outfitted with polished and blended 17-4 PH stainless steel bolsters and natural Banksia pod handles with a royal blue resin fill. This exotic wood makes the Gold Class Hidden Canyon Hunter practically a work of art.

The steel and handle material makes this knife incredible, but the small details let you know that Benchmade went the extra mile. The handles feature two custom mosaic fasteners and a hand-tied leather lanyard. The sheath is  brown, full-grain leather with an ostrich inlay. These details may be small, but they are certainly noticeable.

Benchmade will make only 150 of these knives as part of a limited run.
