For well over 100 years, Case has been making knives. They’re among knife collectors’ favorite, and now Case has released three of their best-selling traditional pocket folders with pocket clips. The Case Pocket Clip Trapper is exactly what you know and love about a Case Trapper. Nothing has changed. They’re just a little more secure in your pocket and easier to carry, because they’ve got a pocket clip. Let’s have a look at the three.

Case Pocket Clip Trapper with Amber Jigged Bone Handles

Case Pocket Clip TrapperFirst up is the Case Trapper Amber Jigged Bone. The pocket clip is a tip down carry and made from stainless steel. This knife features beautiful natural bone that has been jigged with a special machine in a peach seed pattern, then dyed amber. This process gives the handles a nice feel and enhances the natural characteristics of material. All of this is emphasized by Case’s traditional nickel silver bolsters and the inset nickel silver shield. These beautiful handles are secured to with brass pins to the brass liners. The Case Trapper Amber Jigged Bone features Case’s patented Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel in a 3 1/8” clip point and a spey blade.

Case Pocket Clip Trapper with Yellow Delrin Handles
Chrome Vanadium or Tru-Sharp Steel

Nothing says “classic” more than a Case Trapper with Yellow Delrin handles. Perhaps that is why they chose to release this model with a pocket clip. Noted for being nearly impossible to lose if you drop it, the yellow Delrin is a composite material that is noted for it’s ruggedness and visibility. This knife comes in two different models, each featuring a different steel.  There’s the Case Trapper Yellow Delrin with Case’s Tru-Sharp Stainless steel, and the Case Trapper with Chrome Vanadium. Over time the Chrome Vanadium will develop a beautiful patina that lets the iconic yellow delrin truly shine, but it does require a modicum more care than the Tru-Sharp stainless steel.  Both models feature Case’s traditional nickel silver bolsters and nickel silver shield. The iconic yellow handles are of course secured to brass liners with brass pins. And both models open via finger pull.
