Master Cutlery MermaidSometimes you just want a knife that is fun – ridiculously, gaudy fun. The Master Cutlery Mermaid series will never chop down a tree, be useful as a pry bar, and they probably won’t stand head to head on the quality scale with most other knives on the market. However, if you’re looking to garner gasps of amused outrage or a fun knife just because, the Master Cutlery Mermaid series fits the bill (and then some).

These knives have a fun, full color overlay of an underwater motif on the 3 7/8” blade. The eye-popping anodized aluminum handles are contoured and feature a colorful – dare I say sexy – mermaid on the front. They come in three different colors:  Portianna has a navy blue tail with a pink mermaid, Patracina has a hot pink tail with a yellow mermaid, and Bettiana has a purple tail with a white mermaid.

These $10 assisted openers are a little bigger, and a little heftier than you’d expect. The open and closing is also significantly better than you’d expect, with the option of using the flipper or the thumb studs. It’s a mermaid knife, so we recomend using the flipper (ba-dum-bum). The liner locking Mermaid series also includes tip-down pocket clip.
