Remington Heritage SeriesRemington has produced amazing guns for as long as anyone can remember, and the Remington Heritage Series of knives gives a nod to them. The three knives in this new Remington series feature 420 J2 stainless steel blades and textured wooden handles that are remarkably reminiscent of Remington gun and rifle grips. With two folders and a fixed blade in this series and three price tags all under $30, they’re all worth a closer look.

Remington offers both a clip point and drop point folder liner locks in the Remington Heritage Series. To the naked eye, it looks like Remington built these two folders on the same chassis, but when you compare them side by side, the drop point is just a bit smaller. In fact, the clip point comes in at 4-1/4″ closed, and the drop point at 3-3/4″ closed. Each features a 420 J2 stainless steel blade with an ambidextrous thumb stud and a tip-down pocket-clip. The clip point is 3″ long, and the drop point is 2-5/8″ long. A jimped liner lock on both of these folders keeps them locked up nicely during use and makes one-hand closing quick and easy.

Frankly, while we love the folders in this series, it’s the fixed blade that we liked the most. At just over 7″, this classic hunting-style drop point rides easy on the hip in its leather sheath. The sleek lines and grind on this knife are simply gorgeous. It also features 3-1/4″ 420 J2 blade, which makes it pretty darn good for any camping or hunting scenario we can think of. The wood slab handles match the linerlocks perfectly and are double riveted.
