Oregon City, OR – The Proper might be one of the most pictured Benchmade knives in recent years. The new Benchmade Premium Proper might be even more picture worthy. This classic slip joint folder features upgraded steel and a fantastic new look that Benchmade tells us is, “Intended for your dress pants; makes sense in your space suit.”

Overall, this is a great looking, modern take on the traditional folder. It features a super-premium, high performance CPM-S90V stainless-steel blade with a stonewashed, distressed finish. One of the cool things is that these are available with your choice of either a 2.82” sheepsfoot or clip point blade. It opens with a nail nick and has jimping along the spine for added security in a variety of grips.

The carbon fiber handles have bronze-colored, DLC coated stainless steel liners which gives the Premium Proper a great look. It’s a small thing, but it truly elevates this knife into something extra-special.

The handle thickness is less than a half inch. It has a closed length of about 3.9” and a weight of less than a half ounce. All this means this knife is an easy carry no matter what you wear.
