They are excellent for anyone that may have only one hand, arthritis, or just love using a really fast knife for tactical use or EDC. Here are three great entry-level automatics for under a hundred bucks.

The Boker Plus Kalashnikov is a great hard-hitting auto. It gets its name from the designer of the AK-47 rifle, Mikhail Kalashnikov. It’s one of most dependable rifles around the globe and this knife keeps up with its namesake. It looks freaking awesome, too. It rocks an AUS8 steel blade that opens up with the push of a button. The handle is made from milled aluminum with rubber inserts. Combine that with fingers grooves and you’ve got an amazing grip for any situation. Prices for the Boker Plus Kalashnikov start at about $40.

The aluminum handle doesn’t weigh much and is contoured for a great grip. It also features a reversible tip-up pocket clip and a lanyard hole for attachments. The satin finished AUS-8 clip point springs to life with the push of a button. SOG tells us, “The Spec Elite series is one go-to blade when things get serious.” It’s very lightweight and balanced thanks to a hard anodized machined aluminum handle. Ambidextrous jimping adds excellent grip. It also features a reversible low-carry pocket clip.
