Kershaw StaticThe Kershaw Static is a new pocket-cleaver that makes an excellent work knife or daily carry option. Any fan of that blade style or anyone that’s been patiently waiting for Kershaw to release one of their own, the time has come. At about $40, it’s a great knife you can pick up for about $40.

It features hefty 2.8″ 8Cr13MoV cleaver-style blade that Kershaw says is perfect for “cutting, slicing, and chopping.” That’s pretty much everything you could ever want a pocket-cleaver to do. This framelock flips open smoothly with one hand with KVT ball-bearings, and at just under 4″ closed, this knife is easy-going for daily carry.

The Static has stainless steel handles with angled machining giving it some great traction. It features a gray PVD coating for wear resistance. This folder also has a deep-carry, ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip.
