Smith and Sons Legacy TrapperBuilt by Maserin Cutlery of Maniago, Italy, the Smith and Sons Legacy Trapper is a fine example of a modern slipjoint folder. It has a fantastic snap, a strong backspring, and all the walk and talk for which you could hope with a traditional pocketknife. It also features modern materials and is secured with Torx hardware for all the knife tinkerers out there.

The Legacy Trapper has a 3.28” D2 saber clip point blade with a stonewash finish. It opens on phosphorous bronze pivot washers with a long pull. The half stops are clearly defined and the pull on these knives is firm.

It has stainless steel hardware and liners. The handle materials are available in brown burlap micarta, natural canvas micarta, and black carbon fiber. They each have an excellent fit and finish and a solid feel in the hand. They’re 4.125” closed and weigh about 2.5 ounces.
