KA-BAR Becker CompanionDesigned by Ethan Becker, the KA-BAR Becker Companion is basically a do-everything fixed blade. It has a fat drop point blade that’s about perfect for everything, and a tried-and-true steel that’s easily sharpened.

It has a 5.25” 1095 Cro-Van drop point blade with a blade thickness of 0.25” and an 56-58HRC. What’s the difference between regular 1095 and Cro-Van you wonder? Originally developed by Sharon Industries who added chromium and vanadium to standard 1095. This increased both the wear resistance and toughness of the steel. KA-BAR went one step further to protect your blade by adding a black textured coating which increases the corrosion resistance of this knife.

The Becker Companion features full tang construction and an exposed pommel. It has either brown or black Ultramid handle scales for a reasonably good grip. It comes with a MOLLE compatible hard plastic sheath. It’s 10.5” overall and weighs about 16 ounces.
