CRKT Fossil Black CompactThe CRKT Fossil Black Compact has been around for a hot minute. It’s been in a billion pocket dumps on social media. It even made a brief appearance on Better Call Saul. If you’ve been drooling over this knife for a while but held off because the price was too high, you’re in luck. There’s been a massive price drop on this seriously cool looking knife. You can now pick one up for about $30.

Designed by Flavio Ikoma, the Fossil Black Compact has a seriously cool, prehistoric look and a fantastic action. It features a 3.41” 8Cr13MoV hollow ground, drop point blade with a slight recurve. The IKBS pivot system allows this knife to quickly flick open with either the elongated “eye-like” thumb hole or flipper.

The real standout on his framelock are the hammer finished stainless-steel handles with G-10 overlays. CRKT says it looks “like a gator” which is a prehistoric animal, but we like to think of it as looking like a dinosaur. Sometimes we even make raptor noises while fidgeting with it. The Editor hates raptor noises. It has a tip-up pocket clip. It’s 4.31” closed and weighs 4.1 ounces.
