The knives in the Box Elder Wood series feature box elder heartwood handles – often called Manitoba maple or ash-leaf maple – with a greyish/yellowish color. Each knife is unique, with some having more patterned swirls and others with more striped patterns in others. The shield on these knives are laser etched with the classic Case XX logo.

Each knife has mirror polished Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades, brass pins and liners as well as nickel silver bolsters. The Cheetah pattern has a lock back and a nickel silver swing guard. This series is available in the following patterns: Trapper, Pocket Hunter, Medium Stockman, Mini Trapper, and Cheetah.
