Kershaw LightyearThe Kershaw Lightyear is the latest release in their “Starter Series”. It’s a SpeedSafe Assisted flipper with a slim profile you can pick up for about $22.

The Lightyear features a 3.125” 4Cr14 spear point blade with a bead blast finish. It has a long slicing edge and a blade thickness of 0.106”. There’s jimping along the thumb ramp for a good grip when you choke up it.

The grippy glass-filled nylon (GFN) handles has recessed grooves which increase slip resistance on this linerlock. It has all black hardware and steel tube spacers. This knife comes with an ambidextrous, deep carry, tip-up pocket clip and . It has a handle length of 4.125” which is a full-sized EDC. It has a handle thickness of 0.52” and weighs about 2.5 ounces for a comfortable ride in your pocket.
