Civivi FractureModern slipjoints are incredibly popular, and it doesn’t get more modern than the Civivi Fracture. Part of the reason they’re all the rage is because they technically have non-locking blades, they’re legal to carry just about everywhere. This fully ambidextrous pocketknife comes in a ton of different models and you can pick up any of them for less than $30.

The Fracture has a 3.35” grey stonewash finished 8Cr14MoV blade with a hollow grind and blade thickness of 0.1” hardened to 56-58 HRC. It’s available with either a tanto tip or a drop point. It has a bronze washer pivot, as well as a generous cutout in the blade. In theory, this means it can double as a thumb hole opener. However, in practice, the backspring is strong and snappy enough that one-handed opening can be a challenge unless you’re wiling to adjust the pivot a bit.Civivi Fracture

If you look at it just right, we think the shape of the handle on this knife kind of resembles an off-set Coke bottle handle with a bit of a swell in the center. It comes in five different colors: Blue, Black, Grey, OD Green, and Orange. The G-10 handle scales are mounted on stainless-steel liners, and it has a stainless-steel backspacer with an integrated lanyard hole. It has an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip and the handle thickness is a mere 0.39”. It’s 4.39” and weighs in at just under 3 ounces.
