Case has released a new Tribal Lock pattern that is making big waves in the Case community. This unique pattern is like nothing else that Case has ever offered. It’s the brainchild of esteemed Case designer Tony Bose, which comes as no surprise when considering how popular this pattern has become overnight. Smoky Mountain Knife Works has the new an exclusive version of this pattern, the Campfire Bone Tribal Lock, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

Case Campfire Bone Tribal Lock

A locking knife from Case isn’t an innovation in and of itself. The Tribal Lock’s innovation comes from its mid-lock design, and its unique modified spear point blade. This Case Campfire Bone Tribal Lock measures 4 1/8″ closed (roughly the size of their standard trapper), so it has plenty of capability for use if displays aren’t your thing.

Typically, people collect different Case knives based on their exotic handle material. Smoky Mountain Knife Works has secured Campfire Bone for this exclusive. Campfire Bone displays beautiful shades of dark brown and tan. It’s reminiscent of the tones found in the flame of a campfire. These tones remind me of good times I’ve had with loved ones sitting around a campfire after a long day hiking.

The Campfire Bone Tribal Lock is truly unique when compared to other patterns in the Case lineup (it’s probably why they’re pushing it so hard this summer). It features a modified spear point blade made from their Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel, and it looks like nothing else in their lineup. At first glance, the blade reminds you of the standard curves found on a traditional spear point blade found in a Swiss Army knife, but the blade point veers off slightly to one side.

The Campfire Bone Details

Overall, I really like this Tony Bose design. The Tribal Lock’s unique design paired with an exclusive handle material make it appealing for a wide audience of collectors.
