A relative newcomer to the knife scene, Artisan Cutlery is taking the knife world by storm with their amazing products and their reasonable price points. The Osprey features a beefy, .15″ thick, 3.75” cleaver blade in either D2 or S35VN. The weight-forward balance on this knife makes it an outstanding chopper, and the upswept edge makes for a good slice. When you put all that together, it makes for a great knife.
This flipper-activated knife has ceramic bearings, which makes the opening action on the Osprey incredibly fast and smooth. Once deployed, the blade is held firmly in place with either a liner lock (on the carbon fiber or G-10 models) or a sturdy frame lock.
The handles come with a variety of options. There’s the incredibly attractive anodized titanium, carbon fiber, or G-10. A contrasting pivot collar accents each handle. Finally, the Osprey features an ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip and lanyard hole.
