Everyone and their brother loved the original CRKT Pilar. The new CRKT Pilar Large is everything you loved about the OG Pilar, it’s just a bit bigger, and now it has a manual flipper. A longer blade means a longer cutting edge, and a longer handle means a bigger and dare we say better grip? But more than that, CRKT listened when Pilar fans said, “It’s great, but you know what would make it better? A flipper.” That’s right. You can now flip open the Pilar, and it’s still only $40.
Featuring a 2.669” 8Cr14MoV satin finished sheepsfoot blade that opens with either the thumb slot or the new flipper. There’s an oversized finger choil so you can safely change up your grip. Once open, it securely locks in place with a frame lock.
Another new addition to the Pilar Large is that it’s now available with two different handle materials. It comes in the smooth satin finished stainless-steel handles that you all know and love, or you can get it with a textured black G-10 handle that not only looks great, it has a significantly increased slip resistance.
The closed length is just under four inches. The weight is about four ounces. It comes with a reversible tip-up or tip-down pocket clip. All that means the Pilar Large is a bit larger but still incredibly easy on your pocket – and even easier to open.
