The folks at Old Forge tell us that their knives are “built tough and rugged, …hand crafted and reminiscent of a time when blades were forged and hammered to perfection.” We’d have to agree, and now they’ve made a carbon steel bushcrafter knife that is perfect in its simplicity.
This knife is 6 7/8″ long and sports a 420HC steel 3 1/8″ drop point blade that is 1/8″ thick. The walnut handle is completed with brass rivets. It doesn’t get more simple than this. In fact, it’s perfect for people who like to hone their own knife to perfection.
