If you’re like me, when Monday rolls around after a long weekend of hiking, you miss it. The ESEE Zancudo is perfect for people like us, because it’s a piece of equipment that fits in at the office or campsite. It’s a tough folding knife that’s available for a great price. If you’re an ESEE fan, the Zancudo is a must have.

ESEE Zancudo

ESEE did a good job balancing this knife out so that it has a range of different uses. The Aus-8 Stainless blade is a change-up from their standard 1095 high carbon steel. Because the Zancudo is stainless, it’s perfect for carrying every day in any conditions. You can get the blade with a standard satin finish if you like the natural appearance, or you can get a more modern and tactical black coating. The Zancudo essentially a stainless folding version of ESEE’s immensely popular Izula fixed blades.

The handles are made from very durable fiberglass reinforced nylon. The durability comes from its impressive impact resistance and lightweight design. The Zancudo utilizes a framelock mechanism to lock the blade securely in place. I’m a firm believer that your knife is only as good as its weakest point, and the framelock is certainly one of the most bulletproof designs on the market.

ESEE has plenty of color options available on their knives and the Zancudo is no different. I like the darker desert tan handle model with a satin blade, but don’t worry if that’s not your style, you can get the handle in one of four different colors and the blade in a satin or black finish.
