It’s August 24th, and that means it’s National Knife Day – a day to celebrate and appreciate the knife, a tool that none of us could live without. It’s also a day that the World’s Largest Knife Showplace, Smoky Mountain Knife Works goes a little nuts, gives away a ton of great knives, and puts some amazing products on sale. We haven’t forgotten what they did last year, and we’re keeping an eye on what they’re doing this year.

National Knife Day Hourly Giveaways
While we were told originally that SMKW would be announcing one giveaway on the half-hour from 8:30am-8:30pm (EST), we’ve just found out that SMKW will be announce two giveaways on the half-hour all day long. You can enter to win any of these on SMKW’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account by following the instructions for each. According to our source, the giveaways include merchandise from Rick Hinderer Knives, Case, SOG, Helle of Sweden, CRKT, Victorinox Swiss Army, Camillus, Puma, TOPS, Zero Tolerance, Cold Steel, Kershaw, Pathfinder, Spyderco, Ka-Bar, Morakniv, Gerber, Buck, and Master Cutlery. We’ve seen the lineup, and it will blow you away.
Here’s a tip. You can triple your chances of winning any item by entering on all three social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Just don’t enter more than once on any single platform. You’ll be disqualified.
National Knife Day Hourly Sales
As we mentioned previously, SMKW will offer incredible hourly flash sales at the top of each hour from 8am (EST) – 8pm(EST). Our source says each Flash Sale runs for one hour, and a new Flash Sale item appears at the top of each hour. These sales include products from Buck, Kershaw, Benchmade, SOG, TOPS, Victorinox, Gerber, CRKT, ESEE, and Reate. And, SMKW will expand it’s standard daily Flash Sales to 16 items for the entire day.
National Knife Day Zero Tolerance Special
Beyond the hourly and standard Flash Sales, SMKW also has two Zero Tolerance knives priced to move: the ZT0909 and the ZT0630. The Les George designed 0909 flipper is 8.5″ overall and features a 3.8″ S35VN stonewash finished blade. The 0630 is an 8.5″ ZT/Emerson folder that features a 3.6″ S35VN steel blade.
