When most people think of EDC knives, a fixed blade doesn’t often come to mind, but the Schrade Little Finger might be the knife to change that. This compact fixed blade has classic looks, compact size, and a well-rounded blade. The Little Finger would make a perfect gift for the knife enthusiast or hunter in your family this year.
The Schrade Little Finger’s features a 2 3/4″, 7Cr17MoV high carbon stainless steel, drop point blade commonly found in machetes and other work oriented blades. 7Cr17MoV holds a tough edge that dulls slowly, but can be fairly difficult to sharpen without proper stones. The blade has a generous sized finger choil to assist with precise cutting, because of this, the Little Finger would have no problem accomplishing finesse tasks in camp or on the street.
The handle is made from an OT composition material. The Composition is machined with an attractive sawcut pattern and dyed brown to mimic the classic look of bone. The looks may be similar to bone, but the durability (and ability to clean it up) certainly differs. Composite material holds up much better to abuse and hard use.
This knife uses nickel silver pins to secure the handle to the full tang . The Little Finger also features nickel silver bolsters and shields, which add to the classic, more traditional appearance of the knife.
