The Buck Brahma is a different take on one of Buck’s most popular knives. They took the famous 119 and combined it with a beautiful stacked leather handle with micarta spacers. The Buck Brahma is a tactically styled knife with the ability to handle anything that can be thrown at it. Buck fans will probably love it.
The Brahma features the same hunting-style clip point blade design as the Buck 119 Special. Like most quality Bucks, the Brahma features 420HC stainless steel. This steel is a fan favorite due to its edge retention capability and its overall strength. The drawback is that it can be difficult to sharpen – make sure you’re using some sort of diamond stone.
The handle has a traditional stacked leather design with micarta spacers. It’s a very traditional military style handle that features a black coated aluminum pommel and guard which matches the blade. The guard and pommel have holes in them for use with a lanyard or possibly for lashing to wood to fashion a spear.
The Brahma comes with a unique sheath for a Buck knife. It’s made out of sections of leather and nylon that make it more durable than your run of the mill sheath. The sheath is MOLLE compatible and features a section of paracord for additional mounting options. This sheath can be worn both vertically and horizontal depending on your preference.
One additional thing worth noting is Buck’s Forever Warranty. Buck’s warranty is good forever and they will replace any damage to the knife. They do a fantastic job at fixing most damage done to a knife with no questions asked. And if you plan on passing down your knife, the Forever Warranty will actually transfer owners! It’s customer service that’s seriously leading the industry – end rant.
