The Kershaw Buck Commander LoneRock is now available for $11.99 at SMKW. This is a solid deal for a company that has a reputation for making affordable quality knives. With hunting season around the corner (and at this price), the Buck Commander LoneRock might be a great last minute addition to your gear.
The Buck Commander LoneRock is a tough little knife. Its 3 1/2″, 8Cr13MoV steel drop point gut hook blade has a titanium carbo-nitride coating to help protect it from the mess most hunting knives encounter. This setup is durable and perfect for use and abuse on your next hunt.
The handle is durable but also exclusive to this knife. The Buck Commander LoneRock has glass filled nylon handles that are resistant to the elements, but what makes this knife standout is its exclusive K-Texture grip on the handle. A section of the handle features a series on small K’s on the surface that help with grip in wet conditions. The Buck Commander’s shape is fairly ergonomic and hides the lock back mechanism well.
Its worth noting that the Kershaw Buck Commander LoneRock comes in a unique tan and orange color that isn’t found in many of their knives. The knife has a fairly nice camouflage to it, but will also standout if accidentally dropped on the forest floor. This model even comes in a unique nylon sheath that has “Buck Commander” embroidered on the flap.
