The first thing you notice about the Gerber One-Flip in OD Green is the rose titanium coated 5CR15MoV stainless steel blade. The clean lines ground on the 3.2″ drop point blade drop point blade are striking. This knife is loaded with all the features you’d expect in a flipper. It has a 3.2” drop point blade, dual thumb studs, a lanyard hole, and a linerlock. Best of all, you can pick this knife up right now for less than $15.
The scaled, olive drab green, textured, anodized aluminum handles have a nice, smooth feel in your hand and add some nice slip resistance. With a 4.5” closed length and a total weight of about five ounces, the Gerber One-Flip also has a nice, solid feel to it without being so heavy it weighs you down.
The flipper action on it is good. We like having the option of using either the thumb stud opener or the flipper action. It’s not an assisted opener, but if you like putting a bit of wrist into the action, it does make for a very smooth open.
