The tough Camillus Heathen is an outstanding tactical fixed blade that was made right here in the USA. We don’t know the exact reason Camillus chose the name “Heathen” for this 10.5″, 1/8″ thick beast, but we can guess. It’s as rugged as any modern survival knife with all the tactical features you need.
The powder coating on the 1095 high carbon steel and the full tang construction results in a rugged 1/8″ thick 5.5” tanto blade with an incredibly high HRC rating of 65. With this knife, you get the best of both worlds. The tanto straight edge will accomplish most of your chopping and slicing tasks. The saw back spine with eight rugged, sharp teeth will let you power through sawing tasks, and that doesn’t even touch the penetrating power of a tanto tip.
The integral guard built into the blade of this knife ensures your hand won’t slip. The micarta handles are secured with double screw rivets, which keeps the handle secure even in the heaviest of duty. And, the Heathen comes with a rugged Kydex sheath with a belt clip.
