All Helle Knives are beautiful, but the Helle Fire is a beautiful knife that is built to be used. From the construction, to the fit and finish this is a knife that was made to last a lifetime.
The Helle Fire is slightly smaller and lighter than the Godbit. It features a full tang construction and a mirror polished 2.875″ drop point blade made from triple laminated steel.
A little further reading from Helle tells us, “The core is made of high alloy steel which gives it a lasting, razor-sharp edge. This harder layer cannot however exclude the threat of rust or breakage. To exploit the superb qualities of the high alloy steel we added two layers of tough stainless steel (18/8) to protect the blade against breakage and corrosion, while the high carbon core still provides a superb cutting edge.” All that means that the Helle Fire is out of the box sharp and durable enough to last a life time, even through hard use.
The beautiful handle on this knife is made from curly birch. It is one piece constructed and fit around the bottom and sides of the knife, leaving only the top and butt of the tang exposed. This ensures a comfortable grip, in even harsh weather.
At the end of the knife is the aforementioned exposed tang. It features a lanyard hole and a carabiner. The Fire also includes a deep carry leather sheath with a belt loop and a snap enclosure, as well as a cleaning cloth.
