New for 2018, Old Timer has released a new assisted opener. The Old Timer Ironwood series has a thumb stud activated, spring assisted opener. These gorgeous knives are a significant update to the nostalgic classic your grandpa might have carried.
Available in a 2.9” 7Cr17MoV, with a satin finish drop point or clip point blade, each knife features ironwood handles with nickel silver accents, dual thumb studs, and a stainless-steel, tip-down pocket clip. The handles on these knives have a nice feel and heft to them. We especially like the checked grip pattern detailing in the handles, the nickel silver accents, and the nickel silver shield because it gives it a hint of the Old West.
Thumb stud activated, the spring assisted opening on these knives is smooth and quick. The thumb studs are easily accessible, and the blade is held open by a linerlock.
