If you’re a tiny bit compulsive, you might catch yourself repeating CRKT Tighe Tac Two in your head a few times. It’s just a fun phrase to say or maybe that’s just us? Designed by metallurgist, photographer, tool and die maker Brian Tighe, the Tighe Tac Two has a look as eclectic and fascinating as the designer’s background. It comes in both clip point and tanto point models. We like the looks of the tanto point best, but they’re both excellent knives.
If you take a look at any of Brian Tighes’ designs – whether it’s the Drip Tighe, the Nirk Tighe, or some of his custom work – you’ll note his knife designs are all about the lines. With the CRKT Tighe Tac Two, the lines are more subtle but no less leading.
Featuring a 3.3” 8Cr13Mov tanto or clip point with a satin finish the blade grinds are incredibly eye catching. Either flipper or thumb stud activated, these knives also feature the Tighe Ball Bearings Pivot System. The opening is fast and smooth. Once deployed the blade locks in place until the button lock is depressed. The button lock is a nice safety feature because it ensures your fingers are out of the blade’s path when you close your knife.
The Tighe Tac Two also features black glass reinforced nylon (GRN) handles. They have an ergonomic grip and more of those lovely leading lines. These knives also feature a lanyard hole and a tip-up pocket clip.
