Take a handle rounded out like a dinosaur’s back, add in some CNC machined G-10 handle scales with a dinosaur scale texture and you’ve got the Hinderer Knives Jurassic Framelock. A proudly overbuilt, fun USA-made knife from award winning knife maker Rick Hinderer.
The man himself calls this design a “drop edge” design. What that means is the knife fits deeper into your palm and puts the edge down further in your hand. Hinderer says, “The reason for that is you get more power in your push strokes.” Mounted on a titanium liner, the G-10 front scales are slip resistant and comfortable in your hand. The double choil increases both the comfort and the grip control.
The 3.25” S35VN spear point has a bead blast and stonewashed finish. The low blade angle allows for a better slice. It has both a flipper and a thumb stud opener, and the action is as fast and smooth as you’d expect from a Hinderer.
The Hinderer Modular Back Spacer keeps your knife easy to clean and allows for easy handle customization. Additionally, this knife features a sturdy Framelock with a reinforced stabilizer as well as a lanyard hole. Finally, the Hinderer Knives Jurassic includes a reversible tip-up or tip-down pocket clip for right handed carry.
