The Dawson Knives Trapper 4 Select is not only a small, sturdy, hard-use fixed blade knife, it’s gorgeous.
To begin with, the Trapper 4 Select has a 3” recurved drop point Damascus blade. For added durability, they finished it with a protective clear Cerakote layer to help protect it from the elements without sacrificing the gorgeous look of the Damascus steel.
There’s a significant amount of jimping on the spine and a small bit just above the choil for the best grip possible. The subtle file work on the spine is an especially nice touch.
The flawlessly finished stabilized wood handle has a rich, deep look and a smooth feel. The mosaic pins which secure it to the full tang are a fantastic touch.
Finally, they didn’t skimp on the quality of the sheath either. The thick leather sheath has a belt loop attachment and is luxurious to the touch.
