The Buck Rush 290BLS1 is an American made, assisted opening knife with clean lines and a very modern look. Instead of an especially flashy look, it’s a sleek and understated enough to be considered refined. The 2.5” 420HC drop point with a satin finish opens swiftly and smoothly with either the thumb studs or the flipper. The long slicing edge has a thicker tip, which allows heavier-than-expected use. It also has a safety mechanism that all but eliminates the chance of an accidental opening.
For a smallish knife, the skeletonized midnight-blue anodized aluminum handle is surprisingly comfortable and, as stated above, the look is just great. It also has a tip-up pocket clip that is simple to remove for those who prefer a more traditional carry. Between the 3.75” closed length and the light weight of the Rush, this knife practically disappears in the pocket.
