Originally designed as a durable, affordable folding knife, the Honey Badger Flipper features a satin finish 8Cr13MoV stainless steel drop point blade and a honeycomb pattern fiber-reinforced nylon handle. This super-tough, lightweight folder has virtually friction-less action that’s made possible by using two opposing roller bearings that let you open it effortlessly with the blade flipper, or if you’ve practiced enough, simply flick it open by using the thumb hole with your finger underneath. Very few knives achieve such excellent blade action at this price point, but even more notable is that this knife is just fun to use, and perfect for one-handed operation.
The 8Cr13MoV steel is easy going with any sharpening or blade maintenance, but what stands out is the honeycomb pattern on the lightweight FRN handles. You can get them in your choice of green, tan, or black. Pair that with the oversized choil and jimping along the spine and the handle, and you’ve got a secure, comfortable grip. It locks open with a stainless steel linerlock, and the Honey Badger has a deep carry tip-up pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
Along with the three different colors, you have the choice of small, medium, or large models with overall lengths of 6.5”, 7.3”, and 8.2”, adding a bit of variety to the Honey Badger Flipper lineup.
