You might know custom knife maker Matthew Degnan’s work from the Kizer Roach or Guru. His knives tend toward the bigger, beefier builds while still somehow retaining a sleek, elegant gentleman’s folder flair. The WE Gnar is no exception. It’s a ton of knife with a decidedly great look that would absolutely be at home on the Tim the Toolman Taylor show.
The WE Gnar features a 2.78” S35VN drop point with a harpoon spine and a black stonewashed finish. It has a blade thickness of 0.13” and an HRC of 59-61.
It has a ceramic ball bearing pivot system and flicks open with easily indexed anodized titanium thumb studs. The machined titanium handles have a black titanium finish and provide a slip resistant grip. They’re just under a half-inch thick and about an inch wide.
This framelock has a steel reinforced lock bar to prevent over travel. It has a titanium tip-up pocket clip and lanyard hole. It’s 4.1” closed and weighs about 3.76 ounces.
