With the GEC Fixed Blade H20018 or the H20818, Great Eastern Cutlery has turned some of your favorite slipjoint features into a fixed blade. You can pick up one of three different knives for about $35. Yes, we said $35. That’s seriously a great price for a moderately-sized American made fixed blade. Slip them into your favorite sheath and you have a perfect addition to almost any EDC rotation.
They each feature a 3” 1095 carbon steel blade with a full tang and a swedged spine. The swedging not only looks great and gives it a touch more of that traditional slippy flare, it makes the tip more pliable. More pliability means it’s less likely to break. We especially like the blade profile choices between the Wharncliffe blade and a California clip point.
The 3.75” handles are pinned with brass pins and, of course, each knife has a spacious brass lanyard tube. They’re just long enough for a solid 4 finger grip in most average sized hands. They come with either natural canvas micarta or orange Delrin handles. They’re 6.5” overall and weigh 1.6 ounces.
