The Honey Badger Wharncleaver has a big fat beefy reinforced cleaver style tip and rather than a straight Wharncliffe edge, it has a slight curve to it which gives you a tiny bit more slice. Basically, it’s a badass budget blade with a seriously cool look and a ton of flickability you can pick up for about $35. Not only that, there’s also a blue D2 model that we just love that runs about $60.
As we’ve written before, whether you’re a thumb hole flicker or a flipper flicker, Honey Badger knives have a simply fantastic action. They tell us this “friction-less opening and closing action [is] facilitated by two opposing roller bearings containing a total of 20 ball bearings.”
The contoured FRN handle scales on this linerlock are mounted on skeletonized stainless-steel liners. Each knife features the distinctive honeycomb pattern that not only looks great, it gives them a touch of slip resistance. They all have a lanyard hole and an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip.
