The OKC Shikra is a knife to get excited about. It’s the latest folder from Ontario Knife Company, and it’s a sleek, sexy, and budget friendly find. At about $46, it’s one you’re almost definitely going to want.
This framelock gives you a fantastic bang for your buck because it maximizes the strength and durability while minimizing the burden on your pocket. The Shikra is a full-sized EDC with 4.25” handles which give you a nice, roomy grip. The micarta front handle gives you a ton of slip resistance and a great look. The back handle is incredibly durable black stonewash finished titanium. It has a reversible, right carry pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
The fidget factor on this flipper is high with a quick snap and a solid feel. The 3.2” AUS-8 blade comes pretty danged sharp straight out of the box. It’s hardened to 55-57 HRC which gives you enough edge retention for daily tasks and plenty of opportunity to hone your sharpening skills without being annoying. The blade thickness is 0.12” and it has jimping along the spine for a great grip.
