One of the newest releases from WE is the WE Kitefin. It’s a full size modern folder with a snappy, fast action that punches way outside it’s weight class. Not only that, it’s slim and has some seriously fabulous touches.
The Kitefin has a 3.2” CPM S35V drop point with a satin finish with a blade thickness of 0.1” hardened to 59-61 HRC. It has nicely done finger choil, a tiny bit of jimping along the thumb ramp and a swedged spine that looks just fantastic. Riding on a caged ball bearing pivot assembly, the action on this flipper is outstanding.
This framelock has great looking titanium handles that are super slim at just over 3/8″ thick. The front handle scale is a patterned blue/black with overlapping circles which gives it a “fin” look and add a nice amount of slip resistence. The back handle is matte black with bronze accents and a rubbed bronze sheen. All the hardware is bronze anodized titanium. It has an ambidextrous, tip up pocket clip and lanyard hole. This is an incredibly pocket-friendly folder at 4.25” closed and weighs a mere 2.88 ounces.
