If you’re looking for a beater knife with a fast action, you should absolutely check out the Kershaw Valve. It’s a mid-sized SpeedSafe assisted opening framelock with a thin profile you can pick up for about $22.
This knife has a 2.25” 4Cr14 stainless-steel drop point with a blade thickness of about 0.12”. It’s a SpeedSafe assisted opening flipper with long slicing edge and a reinforced tip. There’s jimping along the thumb ramp for a great grip, even when you choke up on the knife.
