The White River M1 Backpacker Pro is premium USA-made fixed blade that won’t weigh you down. In case you’re unfamiliar with the White River brand, it’s a small, family owned USA knife maker located in Fremont, Michigan. They not only make their knives in the USA they source all possible materials from the US. Their knives feature quality materials and outstanding craftsmanship. The M1 Backpacker Pro is no exception.
It has a 3” CPM S35VN drop point blade with a blade thickness of 0.13” hardened to a 58-60 HRC. There’s jimping along the spine and a substantial finger choil with a flawless finish for a great and comfortable grip. Not only that, it’s razor sharp straight out of the box. It’s available in either a satin finish or a black Ionbond finish.
It has a skeletonized, full tang with an integral lanyard slot for attachments. The high-visibility yellow G-10 handle scales are secured with stainless steel bolts for easy removal. They’re textured for slip resistance and have a great feel in hand. You’ve got about a 4” handle which is a good grip for small to medium-sized hands and, with the addition of a lanyard, ample room for larger grips.
It comes with a configurable Kydex sheath that allows multiple attachment methods. It’s 7” overall and weighs about 3.2 ounces.
