Designed by Special Ops veteran Darrin William Sirois as part of the Forged by War series, the CRKT Xan transitions from tactical to daily carry with ease. It’s a fast thumb stud flicker, and an outstanding looking full-sized EDC.
The Xan features a bead blasted 3.67” 1.4116 stainless-steel clip point blade with a blade thickness of 0.13”. It’s an Outburst Spring Assisted thumb stud opener for a fast action. It has jimping along the thumb ramp and a very slight recurve along the edge.
This framelock has a layered G-10 and carbon fiber front handle that’s finely textured for a good grip. The back handle is bead blast finished stainless steel. Lock up on this knife is very good, with no discernable movement. It has a lanyard hole and a reversible right carry pocket clip. It’s 4.84” closed, 8.5” overall, and weighs about 4.9 ounces.
