Kansept is a new knife manufacturer with a ton of experience under its belt. Founded by Kim Ning, former designer and production manager at Kizer, Kansept tells us their name “is the deformation of the meanings and pronunciation of ‘Concept’.” Judging by the build quality of the Kansept Warrior, this is definitely a knife manufacturer to watch. We sincerely believe they’re going to be a huge influence in the EDC world.
The Warrior has a 3.46” CPM-S35VN blade with a blade thickness of 0.15”. It’s a manual folder that rides on a ceramic ball bearing pivot system. It has a solid, satisfying opening with ambidextrous thumb studs. Additionally, the thumb studs are easily indexed and pretty much perfectly placed.
The titanium handles on this bad boy feel fantastic in hand. It’s available with either elegant, marbled carbon fiber or rustic green micarta inlays. Whichever model you choose, the fit and finish is outstanding. It has smooth as glass transitions as well as spot on centering. This knife has an open back construction, making maintenance a breeze. It comes with a tip-up pocket clip and a generous lanyard slot. For its size, it’s fairly pocket friendly with a closed length of about 4.56”, and it weighs about 3.81 ounces.
