For $23, you seriously can’t go wrong with the Fox BF-91. It’s a lightweight, budget friendly modern folder with a ton of utility.
With exaggerated arches, a skinny waist that swells to an almost oversized butt, the overall profile of the BF-91 is a bit like a folding Canadian belt knife. It has a 2.76” 440 stainless-steel drop point with a satin finish and a blade thickness of 0.08”. The long slicing edge combined with the fairly thin blade makes this knife an outstanding slicer. There’s a substantial, jimped thumb ramp for a great grip. It’s a thumb hole opener with a bronze pivot, and it has a smoothly controlled action.
This linerlock has black Zytel handles mounted on stainless-steel liners. There’s a bit of a recessed finger groove with jimping for a secure hold. The handles on this knife are incredibly slip resistant and comfortable in hand. They’ve machined some divots in the handle scales which not only look cool they also give it an interesting feel in hand. It has an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip and lanyard hole. Weighing about 2.47 ounces and with a closed length of 3.76”, this knife is not only affordable it’s incredibly pocket friendly.
