You’re probably not going to misplace this one, given the carry and lashing options available, and that’s what we like so much about the DPx Gear Heat Hiker. It’s awesome on the trail, by the camp, or around the neck. Made in the USA by White River Knife and Tool, the Heat Hiker is a skeletonized fixed blade version of the DPx Heat folder.
It features a 2.4″ S30V drop point blade and handle. It has a black ceramic coating for added corrosion resistance. This lightweight knife is super-easy to attach to other gear with its built-in carabiner clip. You can carry it like your average neck knife as well with the included kydex lanyard sheath. For extra grip, you also have the option of simply wrapping some paracord around the handle if you want, but the contour and spine jimping provide plenty already.
