TOPS Knives has released a new version of the Street Scalpel, and the Tops Street Scalpel 2.0 has some welcome upgrades. As TOPS says take “all of the positives of the original, make it slightly lighter, and reconfigure the handle, and you have the Street Scalpel 2.0. ”
The full tang Street Scalpel 2.0 features a 3.1″ 1095 high carbon steel blade with a black traction coating. It’s very similar to the original Street Scalpel, but the blade has been thinned down to 3/16” thickness. That results in a lighter, slimmer profile and a finer edge, making this an incredible slicer.
The Micarta handles have also been redesigned and feature red-orange underliners. They have more contour and a wide finger groove that also functions as a guard. This results in a secure grip in a variety of positions.
Extras include deep spine jimping and a large lanyard hole for a bit of paracord that comes attached to the knife. The sheath has been changed to allow multiple carry options including appendix, IWB, OWB, scout, or any other way you can think of by rearranging the included beta loop straps.
